How to Care
Climbing roses need plenty of support and must be tied as near horizontal as possible on to wires, trellis or similar. Newly planted climbing roses need little initial pruning. Thereafter prune in October or November removing any dead, diseased, rubbing and crossing stems while some old branches on mature plants can be cut out from the base to encourage fresh new growth. Tie in any new shoots and prune any flowered side shoots back by two thirds of their length. Deadhead regularly.
