Baker /Cake Decorator Needed For Busy Bakery in Dublin
Here at Newlands Cafe & Bakery we are looking for experienced Baker/ Cake decorator to work in our busy bakery here in our garden centre. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and work on their own initiative.
Responsibilities include:
- Day to day baking for our busy cafe.
- Fulfilling cake orders to customers specifications and preferences.
Ideal candidate should have:
- Proven baking and cake decorating experience.
- The ability to use various cake decorating instruments and tools.
- Detail-oriented.
- Artistic and creative.

Horticultural Sales Assistant
Newlands Home and Garden Centre is currently looking for a motivated, customer service focused person with Horticultural retail experience to join the team on a full-time basis.
Ideal candidate should have:
- At least 1 year retail horticulture
- An excellent track record in achieving retail sales targets
- A friendly and confident personality
- High customer service standards
- Flexibility regarding working hours/days
- Stock management and merchandising skills
Responsibilities include:
- You will be responsible for providing customers with a knowledgeable, high quality and friendly service whilst optimizing sales of our products.
- Offering advice and solutions to any queries they may have. Using your initiative to identify new sales opportunities
- Build effective working relationships with customers in order to understand their individual requirements and supply them with the best products.
- Monitoring and maintaining of plants as well as garden products ensuring quality and standards are maintained to the highest level.
- The role will also involve aspects of general work in other departments.
- The ideal candidate will have minimum 1-year experience in the horticulture trade.
- Fluent spoken and written English is essential.
