The Red Tiger Oscar, as the name suggests, boasts a beautiful reddish-orange base color with bold black stripes, resembling the patterns of a tiger. These patterns can vary from fish to fish, making each Red Tiger Oscar unique. Oscars are intelligent and interactive fish, making them a popular choice among experienced aquarists.

Origin: Red Tiger Oscars are native to the Amazon River basin in South America.

Temperature: The ideal temperature range for Red Tiger Oscars is between 24°C to 28°C (75°F to 82°F).

Water Quality: They thrive in a pH range of 6.0 to 7.5 and prefer soft to moderately hard water.

Aquarium Size: Due to their potential size and active swimming nature, a minimum tank size of 200 liters is recommended for a single Red Tiger Oscar. Provide ample hiding places and a suitable substrate.

Feeding: They are carnivorous and enjoy a diet consisting of high-quality pellets, live or frozen foods such as feeder fish, shrimp, and occasional vegetable matter for fiber.

Lifespan: With proper care, Red Tiger Oscars can live for 10 to 15 years or even longer.

Behavior and Personality: Red Tiger Oscars are known for their intelligence and can recognize their owners. They are interactive and may display unique personalities. However, they can be aggressive, especially during breeding or if kept with smaller tank mates. It's essential to provide them with appropriate tank mates and space.
