Royal Pythons Motley Clown is a stunning morph of the Royal Python (Python regius) species, with beautiful patterns and coloration. The Motley Clown morph is a combination of the Motley and Clown morphs, resulting in a snake with a unique appearance. These pythons are generally small in size and have a calm and docile personality, making them a favorite among snake enthusiasts.

Origin: Royal Pythons are native to West and Central Africa, specifically in countries such as Ghana, Togo, and Benin. They inhabit tropical forests and grasslands and are nocturnal, spending most of their time in burrows or hidden areas.

Temperature: The ideal temperature range for Royal Pythons is between 78-88°F (25-31°C). They require a warm side and a cool side of their enclosure to regulate their body temperature, with a heat source on one side and a hiding place on the other.

Housing: Royal Pythons require a spacious enclosure with appropriate substrate, such as aspen bedding or coconut husk. The enclosure should also include a water dish, a hiding place, and branches or logs for climbing. The enclosure should be kept clean and dry, and misted occasionally to maintain humidity.

Feeding: Royal Pythons are carnivorous and typically feed on rodents, such as mice and rats. They should be fed once a week, with appropriately sized prey based on their size and age. It is crucial to feed them pre-killed prey to avoid any injuries or bites.

Lifespan: They have an average lifespan of 20-30 years in captivity if cared for properly. It is important to provide them with a healthy diet, adequate heating, and a clean environment to ensure their longevity.

Behavior and Personality: They have a calm and docile personality, making them a great choice for beginner snake owners. They are generally not aggressive and do not require a lot of handling, but they can become stressed if over-handled. When feeling threatened or stressed, they may hide or curl into a ball. Overall, these snakes are relatively easy to care for and can make great pets for those who are willing to provide them with the proper care they need.
