Eleocharis palustris, commonly known as common spike-rush or marsh spike-rush, is an attractive, clump-forming perennial grass-like plant. It is commonly found in wetlands, ponds, and along the edges of streams, making it ideal for naturalizing in water gardens and boggy areas. This plant features slender, bright green stems that can grow densely together, providing excellent habitat for wildlife and adding a lush, natural look to aquatic settings.
