Polemonium caeruleum Bambino Blue, commonly known as Jacob's Ladder, is a compact and charming perennial plant with delicate, fern-like foliage and clusters of blue, bell-shaped flowers that bloom in late spring to early summer. The plant is named after the biblical figure Jacob, who dreamed of a ladder reaching to heaven, because of its ladder-like arrangement of leaflets along its stems. The Bambino Blue variety is a dwarf cultivar that reaches a height of only 20-25 cm, making it perfect for small gardens, rockeries, or containers. The foliage is bright green with a slightly bluish tinge, and the flowers are a vibrant shade of blue, adding a lovely pop of colour to any garden.
