Ancistrus Triradiatus, commonly known as the Three-Beamed Ancistrus or the Starlight Bristlenose Pleco, is a small, distinctive freshwater fish popular in the aquarium trade. This species is renowned for its intriguing appearance, characterized by a dark body dotted with white or light-colored spots, which becomes more pronounced as the fish matures. It's part of the Loricariidae family, known for their unique sucker mouths and ability to clean algae from aquarium surfaces. Ancistrus Triradiatus is relatively peaceful, making it a favorable choice for community tanks. They grow to an average size of 10-15 cm, and their unique feature is the bristles on their snouts, more prominent in males.

Origin:
Ancistrus Triradiatus originates from the fast-flowing rivers and streams of the Amazon Basin in South America, particularly in countries like Peru, Brazil, and Colombia.

Temperature:
The ideal temperature range for Ancistrus Triradiatus is between 24°C to 28°C.

Water Quality:
This species thrives in slightly acidic to neutral water, with a pH range of 6.0 to 7.5. Water hardness should be kept at a moderate level.

Aquarium Size:
A minimum of 100 liters is recommended for keeping Ancistrus Triradiatus. They require a tank with plenty of hiding places, such as caves and driftwood, to mimic their natural habitat. The presence of plants is also beneficial, but there should be enough space for free swimming.

Feeding:
Ancistrus Triradiatus is an omnivore, primarily feeding on algae. However, their diet should be supplemented with sinking pellets, blanched vegetables, and occasional protein sources like bloodworms or brine shrimp.

Lifespan:
With proper care, Ancistrus Triradiatus can live up to 5-7 years in captivity.

Behavior and Personality:
They are generally peaceful and shy, coexisting well with other non-aggressive fish. Males can be territorial, especially during breeding. They are nocturnal, more active during the night.
