Lavandula angustifolia 'Munstead', commonly known as 'Munstead' lavender, is a popular variety of English lavender known for its compact size and fragrant, deep lavender-blue flowers. This cultivar is highly valued for its essential oils and is often used in sachets, potpourris, and culinary applications. 'Munstead' blooms profusely in early to mid-summer, attracting bees and butterflies to the garden. The gray-green foliage is narrow and evergreen, providing year-round interest.
