These fish are native to the tropical rivers of West Papua, Indonesia, and are named after the Dutch ichthyologist Marinus Boeseman. Rainbow Boesmani are celebrated for their striking coloration, which includes shades of blue, green, orange, and yellow, creating a mesmerizing rainbow effect on their bodies.
Origin: Rainbow Boesmani are native to the rivers of West Papua, Indonesia.
Temperature: The ideal temperature range for Rainbow Boesmani is between 24°C to 28°C (75°F to 82°F).
Water Quality: They thrive in slightly alkaline to neutral water conditions with a pH range of 7.0 to 8.0. Good water quality is essential for their health.
Aquarium Size: A minimum tank size of 100 liters is recommended for a school of Rainbow Boesmani. They are social fish and should be kept in groups of 6 or more to display their vibrant colors.
Feeding: Rainbow Boesmani are omnivorous and enjoy a varied diet. They should be fed high-quality flake or pellet food designed for tropical fish. Additionally, include live or frozen foods like brine shrimp, daphnia, and bloodworms to provide variety and enhance their coloration.
