Royal Python Motley Het Clown is a popular morph of the Royal Python, also known as Ball Python. This python morph is a combination of the Motley gene and the Het Clown gene, resulting in a striking appearance with bold markings and a unique pattern. These pythons are relatively small and easy to handle, making them an excellent choice for novice reptile keepers.

Origin: Royal Python Motley Het Clown is a captive-bred morph, and their exact origin is unknown. However, Ball Pythons are native to Central and West Africa, where they inhabit a variety of habitats, including grasslands, forests, and savannas.

Temperature: The ideal temperature range for Royal Python Motley Het Clown is between 80-85°F (27-29°C) during the day and 75-80°F (24-27°C) at night. They also require a basking spot with a temperature range of 88-92°F (31-33°C).

Housing: Royal Pythons requires a spacious enclosure with plenty of hiding places and climbing opportunities. The enclosure should be at least 36x18x18 inches for a single adult python. The substrate should be kept dry and spot-cleaned regularly. They also need a water dish large enough for them to soak in, and the enclosure should be misted daily to maintain proper humidity levels.

Feeding: Royal Pythons are carnivorous and feed on small rodents such as mice and rats. They should be fed once a week or every other week, depending on their age and size. It is crucial to provide them with appropriately sized prey to avoid digestion problems.

Lifespan: They have an average lifespan of 20-30 years in captivity. However, their lifespan depends on several factors such as diet, housing, and environmental conditions.

Behavior and Personality: They are known for their docile and calm temperament, making them an excellent choice for first-time reptile owners. They are not aggressive and rarely bite, even when threatened. When disturbed, they will typically curl up into a ball or hide in their hiding place. They also have a unique behavior of balling up their bodies when sleeping or feeling threatened, which is why they are also called Ball Pythons.
