Corydoras Albino, also known as Albino Cory, is a popular and easy-to-care-for fish in the aquarium hobby. This species has a striking white coloration and stands out in any tank. It is a peaceful bottom-dwelling fish that spends most of its time foraging for food and sifting through substrate for scraps. Albino corys are social creatures and thrive in groups of at least six individuals. They are active during the day and can be seen darting around the tank, making them a joy to watch.
Feeding
Corydoras Albino is an omnivore and requires a varied diet consisting of both plant and animal matter. They can be fed sinking pellets, flakes, frozen and live foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, and daphnia. It is important to feed them small amounts of food several times a day to prevent overeating and ensure they get a balanced diet.
Special Requirements
Albino corys prefer a well-planted aquarium with soft substrate such as sand. They also require plenty of hiding places like caves or driftwood to feel secure. These fish are sensitive to water quality and require a stable environment with a moderate flow. It is important to perform regular water changes and maintain good filtration to keep the water clean.
Ideal Aquarium Size Corydoras Albino can be kept in aquariums as small as 20 liters, but a minimum of 50 liters is recommended for a group of six individuals. A larger tank provides more space for the fish to swim and allows for a greater range of decorations.
Temperament
Corydoras Albino is a peaceful, communal fish that gets along well with other non-aggressive species. They are best kept in groups of at least six individuals to promote social behavior and reduce stress.
Adult Size
Albino corys grow to an adult size of around 5-6 cm in length, making them a small to medium-sized fish.
PH Range
Corydoras Albino prefers a pH range between 6.0 to 7.5, with a water hardness between 2 to 12 dGH.
