Californian Poppy 'Lady Marmalade' is a stunning new variety that resembles a rose, with masses of semi-double blooms in shades of golden yellow with orange centres. This easy to grow annual may look delicate but it is hardy, wind tolerant and ideal for poor, dry soils. Taller than most at 35cm (14"), its sunshine blooms will really stand out in beds and borders and will brighten patio pots from June to September – it makes a wonderful cut flower too. An RHS perfect for pollinators variety, Californian poppy 'Lady Marmalade' is ideal to use as a beneficial companion plant near your veg plants. Eschscholzia plants can be left to self-seed, creating natural drifts of colour.
